Description
● The MIC value of combination for Meropenem-EDTA is 50% less than that of Meropenem in sensitive isolates
● Greater efficacy than ceftazidime plus amikacin or tobramycin in patients with nosocomial pneumonia.
● 79 % of Meropenem-resistant isolates, show sensitivity to Meropenem-EDTA
● Meropenem in unification with EDTA can exhibit more potent antimicrobial activity against ESBL producing pathogens
